- From Pierre-Elliot-Trudeau Airport, take Autoroute 20 East
- Take the exit for Champlain Bridge which will bring you onto Autoroute 15 South
- Take Autoroute 10 East to Sherbrooke
- Take Exit 140 onto Autoroute 410
- Shortly after, take exit 4E for Downtown Sherbrooke, King Street
- At the corner of King and Wellington, turn right onto Wellington Street and continue straight. Wellington Street becomes Queen Street. At the traffic lights remain on Queen Street and continue for two blocks. Global Excel will be on your right-hand side.
Does Global Excel sell travel or health insurance?
Global Excel does not sell insurance; Global Excel administers the insurance by providing the claims and medical assistance services. Global Excel is considered a third party administrator for a variety of insurance plans. However, our parent company, etfs, does design and produce a variety of travel and health insurance products that are underwritten through Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company of Canada, and they are sold through brokers and directly by its travel sales department. Global Excel administers all products sold by etfs.
Is this an HMO?
Global Excel is not an HMO. Global Excel is a healthcare advocate. With just one easy phone call, your clients have access to qualified physicians and hospitals, coupled with effective case management.
How can I check if a specific hospital is in the Global Excel network?
By calling our toll free or collect number (available 24 hours a day, seven days a week), you can speak with one of our telephone service representatives who will be happy to verify this for you. Global Excel uses sophisticated mapping software that lists geographically all of the providers that are in our network.
Does Global Excel only work with hospitals and physicians in the US?
Although the majority of claims administered by Global Excel are in the US, Global Excel works directly with medical providers throughout the world.
What are the products for healthcare payers?
Global Excel offers a variety of cost containment and assistance services.
What is a PPO Network?
PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization. A PPO is a network developed to provide access to discounts for medical providers in the US. Together with Global Excel's own network, we manage the PPO networks to provide maximum coverage as well as maximum discounting.
What is the relationship between Global Excel Management and the network providers?
All providers in the Global Excel network have direct agreements to provide services according to specified rates and will bill Global Excel directly for payment.
How can I verify coverage for a Global Excel patient?
You can verify coverage by calling our 24-hour call centre. Each caller is connected with a courteous and professional care coordinator who is there to answer all the coverage information you require.
