TalisPoint is an internet-based system designed to assist clients in efficiently locating providers within our PPO network. It uses a “geocoding” approach to accurately direct clients to a specific location. That is, the program calculates precise locations through longitude and latitude measurement. With the client’s location entered, TalisPoint can then use this information to calculate distances and locate the nearest providers.

Global Excel has coded the providers in the TalisPoint database to ensure that not only will a provider be found within a reasonable search radius, but additionally the providers within our network will be displayed at the top of the search results page, thus ensuring quality and direct billing.

The new on-line provider directory will provide Global Excel clients with the following benefits:

• Quickly locate network physicians, hospitals and ancillary facilities
• Search for providers by address, name or automated quick search
• Get accurate mapping and directions to specific provider addresses
• Download and print or e-mail customized directories

TalisPoint makes it easier to locate and direct care to Global Excel’s corporate clients, or the insureds themselves. With this tool, generating directories, posting notices, referral letters, maps and driving directions become simple tasks.
